The Project Recognition in Tourism is oriented to admit:

• The development and sharing, between transnational Partners, of a model for the production of standards (professional standards, competence standards for certification, procedure standards for validation, certification and recognition of credits for the learning outcomes). The model is equipped with methodologies, formats, manuals and software for production, implementation and management of the outputs.

• The application and therefore the testing of this standard system on a specific economic sector (i.e. tourism in a regional Italian territory).

The partners that propose this project make avilable an innovative, comprehensive and transferable project to other Institution and Organizations that have shared the interest in receiving the product.

The transfer made through a sharing approach will guarantee a ready-to-use service for the territories that will enable them to offer immediate services to the enterprises and people within.

The tangible result of the project is the endorsement, the implementation and the installation of a standard framework for qualifications, for the certification of competences and for the recognition of credits in the tourism sector together with the related support software, Tools and manuals.

The intangible result is in the form of a cultural contribution to the development and exploitation of learning outcomes which will highlight the importance of finding common reference points (standards) that allow and sustain the transparency of the Qualifications released by the training systems. Moreover, this process will supply Tools, procedures, methods for the recognition and the validation of non formal and informal learning outcomes.

The impact of the transfer is in the form of joint responsibility and cooperation of the direct targets of the transfer that is the partners directly involved in the project.

The beneficiaries of the project are primarily the public bodies of destination and the systems to which they belong to, but the actual implementation of the transfer has cascade benefits for end-users of the transferred standard system: training and the active labor policies agencies from the target areas and, ultimately, businesses and workers in the tourism sector of the territories themselves.
